Plywood Price in Nepal
What decides the price of a plywood sheet, how to compare rates fairly — and how to get today’s Duro rate from your nearest dealer.
Five things that set the rate of a sheet.
1. Grade. MR plywood for dry interiors costs less than BWR for kitchens, and BWP — bonded with phenol-formaldehyde resin for wet areas — costs the most.
2. Thickness. Thicker sheets use more veneer and resin. Duro plywood is made from 6 mm up to 35 mm.
3. Sheet size. Rates are usually quoted per sheet or per square foot. Always compare the same size.
4. Face veneer and finish. Decorative faces such as natural teak veneer cost more than standard faces.
5. Quality and certification. A properly made core, correct thickness, termite treatment and certification cost more to make — and last longer. Duro MR Grade Ply and Duro Block Board are ISI certified.
Rates change with the cost of timber and resin, so we do not publish a fixed price list. Ask for today’s rate below.

Plywood price — questions
What is the price of plywood in Nepal?
The price of a plywood sheet in Nepal depends mainly on its grade (MR, BWR or BWP), its thickness and its size. Rates also change with the cost of timber and resin. For today’s Duro rate, contact your nearest authorised dealer or send us a price enquiry.
Why is BWP plywood more expensive than MR plywood?
BWP plywood is bonded with phenol-formaldehyde resin, which is costlier than the resin used for MR grade, and it is made for wet areas where water contact is certain. MR grade is made for dry interiors.
How do I compare plywood prices fairly?
Compare the same grade, the same thickness and the same sheet size. Measure the actual thickness of the sheet, check the core at the edge for gaps, and ask whether it is treated against termites and borers. A cheaper sheet that is under-thickness or has a hollow core is not cheaper in the end.
Is Duro plywood certified?
